Sports Coach Apprenticeship – Activity for All Wirral

Brief overview of the role

Activity for All are seeking an apprentice to work under the director of schools and event. The role will be split into 2. One area of the role is office based and includes data management, replying to e-mails and general office support then it will include supporting the delivery of the PE and sport with a specific focus on event management.

Duties to include:

  • Delivering physical education and school sport lessons
  • Event management – planning and delivering
  • Answering phone calls
  • Replying to e-mails
  • Liaising with schools, businesses other staff
  • Data input
  • Working on social media campaigns

Desired skills

  • Good organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to work off of own initiative and also as part of a team
  • Experience of coaching is essential

Desired qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of A*-C/9-4 grades GCSE (or equivalent qualifications) in maths and English or equivalent and Level 2 Sports.

Training to be provided

  • Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Physical Education and School Sport
  • Level 3 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning
  • Opportunities to gain National Governing Body Coaching Awards
  • Functional Skills in maths and English Level 2
  • Plus opportunities to attend additional qualifications (such as first aid)
